think when you see and again, my colleague mike thomson of california, the leader has passed with, working with members in the congress about what we might -- open the dialogue here. and he had heard from people who are long-time gun enthusiasts and activists who understand that this is time for this conversation. it is going to be difficult. this is not easy. but you have to take a look at the statistics. the number of children, of children who are killed every year by gun violence. this was not -- this was -- you know beyond the pale but children are dying every single day. from being killed by guns. so that much more of an openness. i think we have to -- engage in a way that brings everyone to the table. if we are going to be in the business of trying to divide people on this, let us take those who are reasonable, who want to come together in order to move forward. i think the vice president meredith i think -- the vice president will reach out. i know that. we are going to -- in the congress, reach out to
